2007 to date: Senior Lecturer at Brighton Business School, University of Brighton, subject leader for behavioural economics. Responsible for creating content, teaching, and assessing undergraduate and postgraduate students. Also lecturing on behavioural economics at Brighton & Sussex Medical School, teaching postgraduate students on Commissioning and Public Health courses, as well as GPs. Providing presentations and talks on behavioural economics to non-academic audiences.
2009-2011: Consultant to the United Nations International Telecommunication Union. Including, author: Climate Change, ICTs and Regulation, a chapter in the UN ITU book Trends in Telecommunication Reform 2010. Ovum Thought Leader on Climate Change and ICTs. Frequent chair and speaker at international conferences. Author of numerous books, reports and articles. Many media appearances.
1990-1995: Head of public policy and public affairs at Mercury Communications Ltd, Europe’s first competitive telecoms company. Responsible for monitoring and responding to regulatory and public policy developments affecting Mercury and parent company Cable & Wireless in Europe, including managing relations with the European Commission. Managing Mercury’s public affairs activities - engaging with elected and appointed officials, think tanks & stakeholders.
